Why do we use a business model based on audience education?
Caution! This Business Model is best for entrepreneurs whose main goal is to launch their products and services through an integrated system of internet marketing, developing a brand from there on and putting a company on its feet.
A summary of this article:
- First, create an audience ( MVA – minimum viable audience ) by educating your users.
- Build a viable prototype ( MVP – minimum viable product ) alongside your audience, taking into consideration their feedback, desires and complains.
- Once you’ve reached the “product market fit“ step, you should scale your startup. ( PMF – Marc Andreessen defines “product/market fit” as being in a well-established market with a product that can fulfil the requirements of that certain market ). Most people translate product/market fit into making a minimum viable product that tends to solve a problem or a need.
Invest money into your own education and win back precious time (as you already know, time is money and money is time). No matter your path, money are an integrated part in your project and you’ll end up spending it, so why wouldn’t you study what others did well on this road you’re taking?
Also, it’s quite important to listen to your audience and stop making decisions based on what you think it’s appropriate. Instead, pay more attention to your customers’ true needs. People won’t pay for what you believe they want, but for something that solves their issues.
The shortest way to acquire such knowledge is to identify a mentor in the niche you’re working in. Therefore, you’ll have access to his expertise, experience and information.
You’ll be able to burn some steps because these people were at some point in your shoes and, based on their experiences, you could now know what to do next. Of course, all on your system of values and plans.
Your investment doesn’t require just money, but also needs time and effort from your part. However, by investing in your education and devoting yourself to an evolution process, you’ll soon be able to retrieve your three investments ( roi, rot, roe?).
Being a scaled process, the more you invest, the faster your project achieves success.
Sounds like a washed-out cliche – information? You’re probably wondering why would you pay something you can find for free on the internet.
Well, if you end up thinking like that, it probably means you failed to understand my point and you should just forget what you’ve read thus far and continue with your life.
Surely we won’t meet in our lifetime.
Why am I so sure on my statement?
Because I’ve made the same mistake and I’m now wondering what’s the best way to dedicate my time to stay focus on my evolution process.
You don’t pay someone for information, documents, books, ideas, classes, recording or other stuff, you enquire the services of a mentor. He’ll show you what you’re doing wrong, where you’re wasting your time and will give you pieces of advice on how to properly organise your business.
It can be a virtual one, as you don’t necessarily need to interact with him.
You can study his coaching program or podcast, while a personalized newsletter would be a perfect solution. There isn’t a standard manual for everybody, your awareness will be yours only.
We are complex human beings, multiple personalities with a tendency for education, so the ideas you extract are unique.
However, the more we think we know, the easier it is to fell into the “busy being busy” trap – where you believe you’ve mastered the secrets of the Universe and act accordingly, trying all sorts of domains. This leads to anxiety and stress, transforming you in a mindless robot who’s too afraid to take action.
Covering the whole process, you’ll be able to think for yourself and adapt accordingly to what your audience needs from you.
