When your learning habit becomes your entertainment you will win in every game that you play.
Games are at the base of how we built our society. Everything can be considered a game. The most “game-like” feature you can identify in everyday life is that rewarding feeling of accomplishing something, just like beating a hard level of Mario. But real life isn’t as easy as learning what buttons to press and what combos to use.
So then what are the skills you need to “win” the game of life?
There are certain ways in which you can improve yourself so that attaining any ambition is made easier. But before you can know what your self-improvement strategy is, you first have to understand what is standing in your way.
Have you ever wondered what stands between you and what you want to achieve?
Many would answer that question with different struggles they are currently facing – not enough money, not enough time or not enough discipline. But when you break it down to the simplest thing, those are just excuses we tell ourselves because the truth is: we don’t really know what’s stopping us – it’s almost like an invisible wall inside our heads.
That wall blocks your path from where you are now to where you want to be and it can only be overcome by learning to change your mindset into one that serves you on your journey.
- Fall in love with self-education
In order to achieve what you set your mind on, you first need to learn as much as you can about that particular thing.
You want to open your own business? Then you better study the industry you want to enter. Does that remind you too much of school and dreading to sit down and study before each test? That’s because you haven’t fallen in love with the process of learning, maybe because you’re not used to seeing real results from doing research and studying up.
That’s why the first step is to change your perspective: for the first time in your life you have the ability to choose what subject you want to learn more about and you can apply what you learn to a real-life situation – opening your business.
- Make better habits
The habits you have now only support your current life and achievements. If you want something to change, your habits are the first that need to change.
Making a new habit is actually easy. It’s all repetition. At first, it will be tedious, but you don’t need to take too much time out of your day – take it little by little. If you stay consistent, the new habit will become part of your routine without you even noticing.
So be sure to pick good habits that support the vision of where you want to go.
- Follow your role model
A big part of doing something new is believing that it CAN be done. And what better proof that it can be done than seeing someone actually doing it?
We are naturally drawn to successful people who share a story similar to ours and who have achieved something we’ve always wanted. There are countless people out there who you can learn from – whether they’re public figures, coaches, or artists. You need a sort of mentor in your life to base your own journey upon theirs. This will make things significantly easier.
With an inspiring role model, a real love for learning and improving yourself, and good habits that serve your unique journey, nothing can stop you from achieving your dream.
